The Wimsew Blind Hemmer is of industrial strength, but sits onto any table top. It has a knee lifter to drop the freearm to get your hem under the needle and there is a flat bed arm that swings round in front of the machine, so if you hemming larger items it will help to support the fabric.

The freearm is small, making it easier to slide srm hole or trouser hem onto. The stand at the back will hold cones and there is an adjustment to control how much the needle picks up the fabric so you can hem thicker curtain fabric to garment fabric.
