Over the last 27 years we have established ourselves as a leading sewing machine company in London.

How we started
The director of SM Sewing Machines Ltd is Mr Sham Mehta. Leaving school at the age of 16, Mr Mehta applied for an apprenticeship with Singer Sewing Machines. After qualifying as a service engineer, Mr Mehta resulted in opening his own business as a self-employed mobile engineer.

How we grew
During this time Brother UK and Janome UK offered him a contract for home services on their behalf. Together with this, Mr Mehta received training at the head office of these companies. Our Neasden premises is therefore an Authorised Service Centre for both Janome and Brother.
This training resulted in his decision to locate a base for his customers which has been our current premises.

Where we are today
Our sewing machines are of both commercial and domestic use including all major brands such as Brother, Janome, Elna, Frister Rossman, Wimsew, Babylock, Seiko Pfaff and Anglosew machines. We also supply spare parts and accessories for a wide range of sewing machines.
Over the last 40+ years we have established ourselves as a leading sewing machine company in London.
